New Bracelets!

Sparkling Plum
I've recently listed two new bracelets, taking a small break from my craft show prep to show my poor Etsy shop some much needed attention!  The first is a lovely purple lampwork and Czech glass bracelet called Sparkling Plum.  It has an interetsing variety of shapes along with natural wooden beads throughout.  I made each link myself using a gold dusted rosebud, two different silver foil lined lampwork beads, bicones, and faceted to name a few.  Check it out here!

Cherished Memories
The next new item is my Cherished Memories charm bracelet.  Three pretty copper photo charms dangle from this bracelet loaded with metal and beaded charms that I have created.  Lots of textures and shapes on here as well: rosebuds, flowers, hearts, birds, rounds, faceted and more!  Check out my Etsy listing for more details!  This would make an awesome Mother's Day gift!

I have another idea I've been working on that I just started last night: copper pea pod necklaces.  I've seen those cute silver peas in a pod necklaces for some time and have been wrestling with the idea to make my own unique.  Last I want is to look like a copy cat but I also wanted a different design to make mine, well different from the others besides them being made from copper!  I've made mine using a weaving technique around a frame instead of the usual alternating wrapped wire around a headpin I've seen.  I searched around and haven't seen any made like that so I feel safe listing them soon!  I've put my bright spring green cultured pearls to good use and made a bunch last night and now I just need to work on the necklace part!  They would make an adorable Mother's Day gift as well for mom or grandma or yourself with all your little peas in a pod!  Keep an eye out, I should have them listed soon and they will be at both my upcoming shows!

Working, working, working!

I thought I'd take a few moments while my daughter is happily entertained playing with the kitten to type this up.  I am hoping to get some photos taken and edited of two new listings to put on Etsy tonight or tomorrow depending on how much I get done!

Working on mini painting panels
I am almost done getting inventory ready for my shows, yay!  This week I'll be working on pushing out a few more mini paintings to bring to the shows and to finish up the last of my Scrabble tiles and the few pieces of jewelry I still need to make more of.  Lots of work, but well worth it in the end!  After my shows I'm taking a day OFF, I've been working nearly seven days a week lately to make sure I'm on track and I have lots more work to do after all my inventory is done.  I knew doing doing two shows so close together was nuts on my part, haha!  I'm happy for the work though :)  Soon enough, things will cool down and I'll be able to spend more time again making treasuries and keeping up with the online portion of my business.  I hope everyone is enjoying spring and the sunshine!

Here's some treasuries I've been in lately:

Spring Cleaning Clearance Sale!

Hello everyone!  It's that time of year for a good spring cleaning!  To make room for new items I've been working on, I've added several items into the clearance section of my Etsy shop and many are nearly half off their original prices!  These items will also be at my jewelry party and craft show so when they're gone they're gone!  I'll be adding more too as I go through all my expired listings so check back!

Some Clearance Items!
I also want to apologize that I haven't been listing new items regularly like I usually do but I've been scrambling to get everything together for my shows next month and making sure I have enough inventory!  That and trying to convince my 2 year old that even Dora uses the potty.  I should have a few things listed (besides the listings I just renewed) soon once I get photos taken and edited!  I'm not slacking I promise :)

Upcoming Shows, Jewelry and I'm Back!

Hello everyone!  No I didn't drop off the face of the earth, my computer did the evilest of evils and completely fried on me, hard drive, motherboard and everything!  I'm so glad I had recently backed things up on our Seagate external drive or I'd of just cried!  It took some time to get our new computer ordered and shipped but now it's here and all set up and yay, internet again!  I was using my mom's computer here and there but for some reason it hated Blogger and wouldn't let me write up a post explaining my absence, oh well, I'm here now!  I must say though with now having Windows 7, I'm kind of glad my old computer fried!  I hated XP!   And with the new updates to the photo editors, no longer do I have to retake photos because I didn't notice the hair or speck of dirt or because my photo was crooked!  I'm a happy gal!  I want to thank everyone for the treasuries I was featured in even if I was unable to share them all around!  I appreciated the little bit of promotion they brought since I really couldn't do any myself.

Chery Blossoms
Ok, I had two new jewelry items before total computer meltdown that I will quickly brush up on.  First is Cherry Blossoms, sweet pink Czech glass flower earrings that are the pink version of my In The Meadow earrings.  These Czech glass flowers are just gorgeous!  I'll eventually be getting more colors in the three petal design to incorporate into new designs!  Check it out here!

The Apple
Next is The Apple, a new copper leafed Scrabble tile pendant!  I like the iconography the apple represents, and I have used it in the past for my personal artwork many times before.  Apples can represent many things such as wisdom, immortality, beauty and fertility as well as the iconographic representation of sin.  You all know that I love copper, and I also use copper leafing in lots of my artwork so it's really no surprise I'd use in on a Scrabble pendant!  I brushed in some rich brown to make the copper appear aged and painted the little red apple to take center stage.  I've already sold and relisted it!  Check it out and many other pendants at my Etsy Store!

I've also got a few upcoming shows if you're local.  I'm nuts and I'm doing TWO shows within TWO weeks of each other!  Yikes, I know!  The first show is the Spring Bazaar at the Gladstone Armory behind Memorial  Methodist in Gladstone on Saturday April 16th from 9am to 4pm.  It's an event to support our local troops and there'll be lots of vendors and food/drink for purchase.  This is my first larger scale show and I'm super excited!  I've only done small events before!  Next is my Spring Fling Jewelry Party I'm hosting at Bayview Manor (217 Dakota Ave) in Gladstone on Saturday April 30th from 2pm to 4:30pm.  It's a perfect time to get your darling mother a pretty gift for Mother's Day!  For my party I'll have a free raffle for one of a kind jewelry and also a guess how many beads game for an awesome prize!  There'll be yummy appetizers, desserts, and drinks as well!  If you'd like to attend my jewelry party please RSVP by Sun April 17th and you're more than welcome to bring friends and family, just let me know how many people are attending if you can.  RSVP at heversonart@gmail.com or you can see the event on my Facebook page here.
